During the 5 years I spent with that district, I have spent thousands of hours (around 1100 last school year alone) coaching children on proactive behavior strategies and coordinating behavior plans with adults in the school. As a Behavior Interventionist, I was also part of the behavior response team that supported students during meltdowns and other disruptive behavior incidents at school.
Seeing someone go from struggling to successful with their behavior and social relationships brings me joy - and that's what I hope to do for you!
Some of my favorite flowers have a few thorns! I have never met someone who wakes up wanting to have a bad day - meaning a person often isn't just being manipulative, trying to control a situation, or being defiant for no reason. So, we start by looking for the reason.

When people (children and adults) display disruptive or hurtful behavior that gets them in trouble, it is usually because they are struggling to manage an emotion or are missing the skills to handle the situation appropriately. In either case, learning and practicing new strategies can help everyone involved.
As a team, we can help kids and adults learn the skills and strategies that will let them take charge of their own outcomes and have more amazing days!

My services focus on the whole family - children and adults who feel the stress and frustration that come from disruptive behavior. As a team, we will bring peace home by evaluating the causes and effects of current behaviors, then use emotional regulation tools, communication strategies, and caring boundaries to positively adjust those causes and effects. You know your child or children better than anyone, so we will work together to create a family coaching plan based on your family members' unique needs, challenges, and strengths.
I also coach individuals who are struggling with the people around them. Teachers, caregivers, retail workers and anyone else who interacts with other people can benefit from learning and practicing de-escalation strategies, emotional regulation strategies, and maintaining positive boundaries.
I typically meet in-person with adults and children for coaching sessions, but I will happily meet virtually, if needed. Text and phone support between sessions is also included with my coaching services. Please see my FAQ section or email me if you have more questions!
